week #10

This week I enjoy learning how important is to use creativity in the business world and how important is to trust your talents and to develop them. I really enjoyed the video Think Big by Taylor Richards and how vital is to not underestimate ourselves, to pursue our goals and dreams and to not be mediocre but to reach for the best.  I love the action hero video where Kathy Huber was interview, Tenacity and perseverance were tools she used to achieve success and reach her goals, for Kathy a no meant anything and if she wanted something she will get it.  I also love the talk by Elder Oaks, I love that it talks about potential and that our testimonies show how converted we are. We are here to prepare to meet God and in this journey we will be judge by the end result and what we become. The gospel influences and changes lives for the better and in this challenging world it is important to hold unto it.  We have been blessed with a savior that guides and teaches and I we follow his example we will be able to obtain success on this earth and the afterlife.

Week 8 Journal

This week I enjoy the reading and videos, especially the talk by President Kim B. Clark on Leadership with small L, this talk inspired me so much and gave me the desire to be that kind of leader, ones that inspires and teaches with love an example, a leader that is also a disciple of God. One of my favorite principles is the one of leading by example, there is not greater influence of power that can touch others than leading trough example. On my mission I had the opportunity and blessing to be led by example, I was amazed at how my companions will devote to the lord by their obedience, they didn’t need to say words to teach because the greater lesson was their example. A good leader doesn’t know citizen, nor judges or demeans others, a good leader will guide you through a better understanding of your purpose on earth and will inspire you to reach your full potential. I also like the principle of teaching by love, with the purpose of benefit other’s lives and make them better, teaching by love is being patience and understanding of other’s people situations. I am really excited for the day that I get to own a business and apply these wonderful principles learned trough school.
