Week 7 # Journal

This week I enjoy learning about the 7 habits of highly effective people, one of the habits that stuck out most to me and that I think I need to work on is to be proactive. I am mostly a sensitive person so when facing a difficulty, challenge or obstacle I tend to give up. Being proactive means to accept reality and to choose to react to it in a positive way. Another habit that I really want to start applying in my life is that of putting important things first, setting priorities on important things and giving it deadlines. This week’s reading defiantly made me feel the spirit and I also like how it relates to the business world, being true to ourselves and others will not only bring success in our lives but also peace to our hearts, I always think that a successful business owner is also a leader and a man or woman of inspiration, without honesty and integrity that is hard to achieve. I also like that President Gordon B Hinckley talks about priorities and how important is to keep our commandments and to practice the value of virtue. In this world of corruptions and temptations is important to have our hearts set to God and hold unto our love for him before falling into temptation.

Journal # 6 183

I really enjoy the readings and the material this week. I enjoy that every video and reading material comes with a great message and something to ponder. This week my favorite quote was “Your greatest legacy will be your family and your service in the Kingdom of God”. In the business world you can get caught up with focusing so much on your business and leaving not time to your family , it is important to know the reason we are here is to go back to our father in heaven and that it is important to focus on the eternal perspective rather than in temporary things. My second favorite quote was “Light the world through your actions”. I love this quote because in this dark world where live in, we need more people with values such as integrity and honesty to influence others and make a difference. In the business world you are hold reliable to make a chance in this world, you befit society by providing the service your business offers but you also benefit society by protecting your values and acting according to God’s will. My other favorite part of the reading was the message of self-control, and how to keep yourself protected from the temptations of the world.                                                                                                               

Journal # 5

This week I enjoy the talk on Perseverance by James E. Faust. In life to achieve our goals we have to never give up and in the business world persevering and enduring brings success. I also enjoy the video on a Hero's journey. I love the advice that was given, it was very inspirational to me. My goal is now to live every moment of my life as it matters, as it was my mission to succeed. The financial reward in a career business is unstable so getting into business for the wrong reasons might not be beneficial, if you want an stable income then the safest is to get a job, but if you are willing to take risks, be creative and your motivation is not the money but how can you help others with your product and income, your perspective changes and give you the Perseverance you need during challenge times.  I also agree that it is very important to surround yourself with people that inspire you to be the best version of yourself, people that is self motivated and of character. Surrounding yourself with extraordinary people will make you one of them.

Journal #4

This week I was able to create my business plan for the 100$ challenge. I was really excited and motivated to see what the journey will be and to have everything organized to start the project, working on the business plan make me have more confidence on my business idea. This week I enjoy the reading and the videos we were assigned to read but one that stuck most to me was the life of business Owner Paul Robshaw and his perspective on dreams and boundaries, sometimes we put limits to ourselves and we tend to justify and have a list of excuses of why we cant achieve our dreams but removing boundaries helps take action with creativity and forget about those limitations , instead we just go for what we want with excitement and positiveness

Journal # 2

Randy Pausch was a very persistent individual and that is what led him to achieve many of his childhood dreams.  He saw obstacles and challenges as opportunities to realize how much he really wanted his goals to be accomplish, if goals were easy to achieve then there is not need to take action or put effort into accomplishing them. Listening to his talk motivated me to reach and fight for my goals without putting excuses of why I could not reach them. Dreaming is important because it shows the desires of your heart and your vision for the present and the future, I consider myself a dreamer and it makes me excited to dream of all of the possibilities of things that I can accomplish in life . One of my childhood dreams has been to be able to have the financially stability to take all my family to our dream vacation. Growing up I did not have the blessing to spend much time with my family since they both had full time jobs and owned different businesses , but every summer we will go on a one month vacation which was my favorite part of the year , having my family together was the best gift and those days spent with them during summer vacations were moments I will keep close to my heart and treasure forever. Living in the United states and having our family living in different states motivates me to work hard so one day I can take them all to an amazing vacation, as A child I imagine us doing that every year for the rest of our lives but moving to the United States was not easy and our lifestyle change completely. Starting my own business and be financially successful will help me achieve this childhood dream , whatever comes in between are just brick walls that I have to break trough to show life how much I want my childhood dream to become reality.

entrepreneur journal # 1

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to own a business , my parents influenced me to it by venturing with different business during my childhood, when I decided to get  my Bachelor of Science in  Business I knew that I was going to be enjoying my classes. Introduction to entrepreneurship is a class that is not only a requirement for my major but it is also a guide to my future dream of owning a business.  I have enjoy the videos and the readings so far in this course but one of my favorites was to get the comfort and assurance that even though entrepreneurship is not easy and they are risks involved is our adventurous souls that will not let us give up and not to try. I agree that we are a work in progress and that we have to be our own investments by learning and developing skills on a daily basis. I love knowledge but I do find myself doubtful when it comes to take action, I know that this class is going to help develop the confidence in my business career as I put into practice every principle and lesson learned in this class.

El aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida es esencial para la vitalidad de la mente humana , cuerpo , y mente. Mejora el autoestima y a estar actualizados . El aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida es vigorizante mentalmente y is una buena defensa contra la vejez , depresion y inseguridad .



El conocimiento espiritual como el academico es muy necesario para nuestro desarrollo y beneficio propio por esta vida y por la eternidad , nos podran roban bienes materiales y alejarnos de nuestras pocesiones pero el conocimiento es algo que siempre permanecera con nosotros y nunca os sera quitado y por lo tanto es muy importante hacer de esto una prioridad en nuestras vidas , dandonos tiempo para alimentarnos espiritualmente con las sagradas escrituras el libro de Mormon , la biblia ,discursos de nuestros profetas lehonas y libros inspiradores , esto nos sera de beneficio propio , estaremos aprovechando nuestro tiempo a lo maximo y adquieriendo buenas actitudes que nos ayudaran a ser mejores amigos , padres , estudiantes , y hijos . Tambien el conocimiento academico es muy importante para estar actualizados y tener una barra de donde sostenernos en nuestro tiempo en la tierra , con esto me refiero a educarnos en alguna carrera que permita que podamos ejercer una profession donde podamos beneficiar a las personas y hacer de este mundo un mundo mejor .
